Trouble finding documentation on...

I am needing to know how to move the map to a position (with marker) based on lat/long coordinates submitted by the user.  Also, I am in search of a way to map a marker like above, but this time by text (I may have to geocode the address and use the lat/long style mapping above.)  I am currently loading a TIFF file that has all coordinates in it, I just need to make use of them.

I have looked around the site, documentation, google searches, etc... and haven't found a single example of this.  Basically a simplified outline of what I need:

1.) User enters lat/long coordinates within 2 text boxes (for lat and long), and hits search.

2) The map is moved to this new position, and drops a marker at that lat/long.

Any help is appreciated.

Using a drawing layer you can add a marker:
http://www.mapwindow.org/documentation/mapwingis4.8/group__map__drawing__layers.html

To zoom to the marker you need to create a new extent and set the map to that extent:
http://www.mapwindow.org/documentation/mapwingis4.8/class_extents.html

Here's an example that might help:

Thanks for the quick answer.  I am implementing this technique currently, but it appears that its mapping to the left of my map.  I think it's an issue with the layer, but I am still doing some testing with it.  Also if I need to map by street name, would this be possible?  If not, I would have to reverse geocode the street names to coordinates :/.  Thanks again!
