Use the MapWinGIS.ocx in Visual Studio 2010

Hellooooo,

I'm programming in VB.net, by using Visual Studio 2010. When I finished to choose the ocx in the window add references. I made a rigth click in te toolsbox -> choose Items. I can't see the control in te onglet .Net in order to add a map component.

 

How can you help me please.

Did you compile for the same .NET Framework version?

And did you compile for x86? Visual Studio cannot handle 64Bit components.

Now it's work, i'm using the MapWinGIS ActiveX 4.7.

Anatole,

I don't recommend using the old v4.7.
That version is over 2 years old.

Why don't you want to use v4.8.6?
It is a stable version.

hello,

 

i m using ver 4.8but i m getting errror of Self Registration failed to c:\dev\mapwingis\MapwinGIS.ocx

 

please guide me how to install this ocx in visual studio 2010.

and can i develop windows mobile apps using this ocx

Mohit,

Please don't hijack somebody else his thread.

If you have a problem start a new one.

Did you follow the steps I gave to Anatole?
Did you download the ocx-only installer or the MapWindow-Full installer?
