Point Selected

Jan 7, 2016 at 3:26 PM
Ok, I solved my selecting polygon issue (from yesterday), and now I'm embarking on a similar one. I have a point layer, where I use custom icons (bitmaps) to display information about the points. If I select one of these point the way it works now, the bitmap goes away, I'd rather highlight it or enlarge it or something. Anyone have any pointers on how to go about this? Here's a screen capture showing the iconography: Image

Hello, please tell me how you have chosen to one point , and you get the coordinates?

Just for clarity. Here's a example of how to use icons for points:
http://www.mapwindow.org/documentation/mapwingis4.9/_point_icons_8cs-example.html

Here's an example how to select a shape. After that you can get the points of the selected shape and get their coordinates:
http://www.mapwindow.org/documentation/mapwingis4.9/_select_by_distance_8cs-example.html

With Shapefile.SelectionDrawingOptions http://www.mapwindow.org/documentation/mapwingis4.9/group__shapefile__selection.html you can set how to behave when the shape is selected. I haven't tried before to enlarge an icon.
@IslandHydro: Let me know your progress.

@XmaksasX: Please don't hijack somebody else his thread. If you have a question post a new one.
