slow panning

Feb 8, 2011 at 10:12 AM

i've added 13 images (bmp)on my map, as a terrain layer. Each image is 4MB size.

When i move my map (panning) i notice that it is so slow to redraw it...

Is there a way to make the panning faster?

Any suggestion?

Thanks a lot people!

How slow is it?

Just in case: the property that affects panning is Map.UseSeamlessPan. It should be set to false for faster operation (it's a default value).

the property useSeamlessPan is set to false...

i see the white section for 2 seconds...there is a way to avoid the "white section" during the map panning?

Quite strange, 2 seconds seem too much to me, unless you have slow PC. I tested 80 mb bmp image right now, and got about 0.9 sec at full scale and appr. 0.25 sec with about 5x zoom.

As for white sections, UseSeamlessPan property forces immediate redraw while panning, but it'll be very slow.

the seamless pan doesn't work for me (with 4.7 ocx...)

which hardware congifuration you have on your pc? maybe mine is older...4gb ram...core2duo...

or maybe my code is so slow...

Seamless panning is working fine for my version.

Windows 7 gave my PC 5.5/7.9 for the CPU speed and RAM. The index is described here:
